What is EbonyLife ON?

EbonyLife ON is a subscription video-on-demand service that allows you to watch all your favorite African movies, series, documentaries, and TV shows at any time on ebonylifeon.com and via mobile applications.

How do I subscribe?

Visit ebonylifeon.com or download the EbonyLife ON (“EL ON”) application via the Google Play Store or Apple iOS App store. Click on ‘Register’ in the top right corner, then ‘sign up now’ at the bottom of the window. You will then be asked to create your account. Fill in your email address and a secure password. Repeat the password to complete registration. You will receive an email to validate your registration.

What subscription plans do you offer?

EbonyLife ON offers two subscription plans: Monthly and Yearly

I’ve paid for my subscription. What’s next?

Your access will be granted immediately; view movies and series at any time. If you do not have immediate access, please send an email to subscribe@ebonylifeon.com with your name, the email address used to subscribe and proof of payment.

How do automatic debit payments from my bank account work?

Subscription payments are automatically renewed for iTunes and PayPal account holders. To deactivate recurring payments, deactivate the auto-renewing option 24 hours before the end of your current plan. Log in to your iTunes or PayPal account and follow the instructions.

I subscribed, but the payment page appears

Please ensure that you have been activated. Your activation status can be viewed on the web (go to ‘My Account’) or on the app (go to Menu, then ‘Subscription’). Confirm you are connected to a reliable internet/data source to stream videos. EbonyLife ON allows one stream per account to operate at a time. Logout and login with the email address you used to register for EbonyLife ON (your session will time out if it is idle for an extended period).

How do I manage my account?

Once you sign in, go to the "My Account". You will see all the useful information related to your active subscription.

Your video loads, but you have a black screen with audio

This situation occurs when you have limited available bandwidth. In such a case, click the “HD” button in the bottom right corner of the EbonyLife ON player on your laptop and select a lower profile.

How do I connect to different devices?

You can connect to EbonyLife ON from different devices; however, EbonyLife ON allows one stream per account to operate at a time. TIP: Each time you switch to a new device, you are disconnected from the previous device. To retrieve the rights on the previous device, you have to first sign-out on the currently activated device, then sign-in on the desired device.

How do I download a video to watch offline?

You can stream videos on the EbonyLife ON at your convenience, as long as you have an active subscription. The contents, however, are not available for download.

I have lost/forgot my password

On the sign-in page below the password field, you can click the link to reset your password. Enter your email address, and then go to your email inbox. You will receive an email with the link to reset your password. If you do not receive this email within a few minutes, please check your spam folder and make sure your inbox is not full.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Monthly and yearly subscription plans will not automatically renew at the end of your plan.
